Shortcuts and gestures
Every keyboard shortcut and touch gesture, in one place: keying the radio, moving between positions on the scene, working elements in the builder, and driving the after-action replay. Everything here works on a phone or tablet too, with one exception noted at the bottom.
In a drill#
| Input | Effect |
|---|---|
| Hold Space | Transmit on the radio. Works whenever you are not typing in a field. |
| Hold the radio button | Same, for touch screens. |
| Click a view tab | Walk to that position. |
Releasing the spacebar ends the transmission. If a button happens to have keyboard focus, pressing space drops that focus first so it keys the radio instead of pressing the button.
In the scenario builder#
| Input | Effect |
|---|---|
| Click a tool, then click the scene | Place an element. |
| Drag an element | Move it. |
| Scroll over an element | Resize it. |
| ⌫ or Delete | Remove the selected element. |
| Click the scenario name | Rename the scenario. |
On an aerial view marked as the tactical map, clicking sets the quadrant center or the Side A mark depending on which mode is selected.
In the after-action review#
| Input | Effect |
|---|---|
| Drag the timeline | Jump to that moment. |
| Click a marker | Jump to a few seconds before that event. |
| Speed selector | 1×, 2×, 4×, 8×, audio included. |
| ↩ Follow IC | Lock the view to where the incident commander was standing. |
| Search box | Filter the feed and radio transcripts together. |
Touch#
Everything works on phones and tablets. Tap replaces click, and press-and-hold on the radio button replaces the spacebar. Resizing elements in the builder needs a mouse or trackpad with a scroll gesture, so scenario building is easier on a laptop than a phone.
